The Brown University Department of Public Safety provides this notice in compliance with the Timely Notice provision of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
Incident
On Sunday, September 27, at approximately 4:39 PM, a community member notified the Brown University Department of Public Safety of a Breaking and Entering a dorm room in Archibald-Bronson. The crime was committed between Friday, September 25th at 3:00 PM and Sunday, September 27th at 4:00 PM. There was no forced entry. Electronics and personal items were stolen.
This matter is under investigation by the Brown University Department of Public Safety. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Brown University Department of Public Safety at 401-863-3322.

- Secure Valuables: Keep expensive electronics (laptops, tablets, gaming consoles) out of plain sight from windows or open doors.
- See Something, Say Something: Report individuals acting suspiciously in residential areas to 401-863-3322 or dial 911.
- Do Not Tailgate: Ensure that exterior building doors close and latch behind you. Do not allow unknown individuals to follow you into the building.
