The Brown University Department of Public Safety and Emergency Management provides this notice in compliance with the Timely Notice provision of the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act.

Incident

At 4:50 pm, the Brown University Department of Public Safety and Emergency Management (DPSEM) received a report of a breaking and entering into a student's residence room within Champlin Hall. The room was unoccupied and had been left unlocked at the time of the incident. An unidentified individual entered the room and removed cash from a purse located within. No injuries were reported, and a suspect description is not available at this time.

This matter is under investigation by the Brown University Department of Public Safety & Emergency Management. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Brown University Department of Public Safety & Emergency Management at 401-863-3322.
